Joe Budden

A true Hip Hop artist, Mr. Budden repping New Jersey should be nominated in the hip hop hall of fame. Despite the problems with def jam and and his beef with other artist that he slaughters Budden is a lyrical genius, if you dont agree to bad! just listen to his first album self titled "Joe Budden". He takes his life along with his heart and puts it in his music and thats the way it should be he just doesn't speak to one audience he reaches the masses. All i hear is what he does bad, he's crazy he beef's with everyone, he talked bad about def jam, he..........
UH..... so what! who doesn't? mood musik 1-3 is classic not to mention the numerous freestyle he does not about money or how many hoes he got but about the life we all live. one classic "3 sides to a story" where he goes in about a guy who sells drugs to feed his family and end up in jail then while he's in jail a rival dates his mom and knocks up his sister and then he gets out and has to deal with it! what a story. Thats hip hop! the "padded room" another awesome album where he explains him and why he is who he is! the track "exxes" where he goes on about how this chick is so much like him he can't be with her but the chick is his mind and they're arguing back and fourth, yeah another true hip hop song then Mr. Budden collaborates with Royce da 5"9, Joel Ortiz, and Crooked I to form Slaughter house which is indeed that! the album was ok but the 2 mix tapes in o9 was sick if you haven't herd them, your bad! Then he drops "Escape route" OMG "Anti","the world keeps spinning","forgive me" apologizing to Method Man for the non sense. if you haven't herd it your slacking. Joe Budden a true hip hop artist he is. On the battle side of things dont get involved if you want to survive and keep you mic! i am a little salty he's not main stream but so what ok he's not sucking balls to be known. i know him and so does his internet soldiers.
My point is if your not listening to true hip hop then what the F are you doing saying you a fan go pick up the soldier boy album or something like that it's not hip hop but hey neither are you! One yourself and remember this is OUR HIP HOP. get with it or get away!

Where are True Hip Hop artist?

What happened to Hip Hop? When did it all become about money and who has the most? Is THAT suppose to make us cool? Didn't it start with helping our people grow and being a stronger community? All we hear now is “I’m a killer," "I got a hundred guns,""I’m f@cking your girl,"I get money," "I spend money," "I buy the most expensive sh!t," " I sleep with a bunch of women," etc.

Has any new artist done their homework? Do we all forget where we come from? For instance, when NAS got on in 1991, he was as hard as anyone. He spoke of his Tech 9 and the life around him but, he did it in a way to show us there was more to life. Selling drugs yeah, cool but, grow from it don’t die and end up in jail or smoking crack! Scarface, Krs-One, Rakim, Snoop Dogg, Slick Rick, Ice -T, Public Enemy, Common, LL Cool J, Wu-Tang Clan and many others all had their gangsta moments but always seen to "drop science." Is it me? Or does the label executives tell the artist: "Hey this sells, so, wear skinny jeans, sound stupid and people will buy your album!" Drake did around 500K his first week. And I would say that’s good but, does it matter for real? Okay, he gets a big check, but wasn’t it a breath of fresh Hip Hop air? Diddy is an entertainer and he's good at it. He's nowhere near an Emcee.

My point is: do what you do but, stop DESTROYING the name of Hip Hop. Even NWA had a message while they were f*cking hoes and toting guns! Rappers a.k.a. Hip-Hop artist are born and embrace where they come from and relate to those who supported them. Kanye West has a new single called "power," listen to the lyrics, no one man should have all that power! So true. Rap/Hip-Hop shouldn't own us we should own Rap/Hip Hop. Didn't we all have a "Teenage Love"? Don't all the D boys relate to Jeezy? Don’t we all relate to T.I? Whether you’re on the top of the charts or not, Hip Hop paved the way. Joe Budden may have pumped it up in the club but, did you hear "10 minutes"? Have you heard "For a reason?” Some of the greatest Emcees, for example, UGK, Eightball & MJG, Trick Daddy, Outkast. [WHERE IS ANDRE 3000?] I say all this to say where are the true Emcee's? Don’t fall back, bring it back to the fore front. Rakim said “Know the ledge.” So, yes, get money but, do we need another Hammer!?! NUFF SAID.
